C.K. and Teresa Tseng Gallery

An exhibition from the the Library's collections devoted to the legacy of the great illustrators of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Included in the exhibition were examples and explanations of the processes used to publish prints, including engraving, etching, lithography and hand-tinting.
Artists on display included William Hogarth, George Cruikshank, William Blake, Honor Daumier, and Kate Greenaway. Their prints depict the social issues, cautionary tales, satire, politics, fashion, and famous stories of a past era.
This exhibition was made possible by a generous gift from Gus and Erika Manders and the Friends of the Oviatt library. Thanks also to Marion Vogler, Harry Stone, Ruth Globerson, Herbert and Lillian Palmer, and Norman and Sivia Mann for their donations of collections to the Library.
