Oviatt Library Lobby, September 24- October 14, 2009

Steve Lopez's The Soloist is a sensitive and complex story that introduces the reader not only to Nathaniel Ayers but also to downtown Los Angeles, classical music, and unconventional healing processes. This exhibit offers an introduction to some of the key themes of the book including music venues in Los Angeles, CSUN's Music Therapy Wellness Clinic, and images of some of the local places mentioned in the book. Stop by to have a look, and then be sure to read The Soloist and join in the campus-wide discussions. See author Steve Lopez speak at Freshman Convocation on Thursday, September 3rd at 6pm on the Oviatt Lawn.

The exhibit was put together by Librarians Susanna Eng-Ziskin and Lindsay Hansen.
