The
Presentation Room is an academic space for faculty and staff to conduct presentations,
guest lectures, training sessions, and meetings.
The Presentation Room #81 is located in the west wing at the lower level.
Access to the Presentation Room is from the Library’s front main entrance. Continue through the lobby and turn left at the Reference area. Take the main walkway to the west wing of the building. Turn right and go down the curved staircase to the Presentation Room.
Wheelchair users can take the elevator near the restrooms in the west wing from the main floor to the basement level, then proceed to the left.
The Presentation Room is offered with a standard arrangement of 140 chairs auditorium-style. There are two large (8x3ft.) conference tables at the front of the room. Special set ups are not permitted.
The Presentation Room has the following equipment in the room available to use:
Presenters are welcome to bring their own laptop. To be compatible, you must bring a SVGA cable to connect to the projector.
The Library is unable to provide technical support for your program. It is recommended that arrangements be made to bring you own technical support person to assist, especially with computer hardware and software issues.
Light refreshments are permitted. Utilize the kitchen and tile area for serving beverages to avoid spills on the carpet. All food and beverages must remain in the Presentation Room to comply with the Library's "No Food and Drink" policy.
You must clean up the room after using the room and leave it in a clean condition for the next incoming department. If the room requires cleaning after you have left, your department will incur a $75 cleaning charge from PPM. Additionally, any special cleaning needed (e.g. spills on the carpet, disposing of leftover refreshments, clearing of excessive trash and boxes) will incur additional costs.
Failure to leave a clean room or any defacement caused to the room and its furnishings are sufficient grounds for denial of future use of the room.
Ensuring a pleasant and productive environment for study and research for all library users requires that respect must be given to maintain the quiet within the Oviatt Library. The Presentation Room doors may need to be kept closed during an event to avoid disturbing others.
