The Vern and Bonnie Bullough Collection on Sex and Gender is a unique record of sexual attitudes and studies of human sexuality throughout history. The collection, which is maintained for scholarly research and educational purposes only is comprised of books, periodicals, manuscript and archival documents covering prostitution, cross dressing, homosexuality, abortion, laws relating to sexual behavior, and sex education. The collection was formed in 1973 with the acquisition of the research library of scholars Vern and Bonnie Bullough. Their donations in the ensuing years have more than doubled the size of the collection. The materials are cataloged and accessible on the Library's catalog.
