The Teacher Curriculum Center (TCC) has a variety of resources which can be useful in the field of special education. The following will assist you to identify and locate the most appropriate materials for your needs. Both print and media resources are available and indexed in the Oviatt Library online catalog by author, title, and subject. Be aware that many materials that were not specifically intended for use in specific instructional settings may easily meet your needs. To determine the usefulness of these materials, first identify the subject content or skill of interest and evaluate the items for appropriateness in terms of such things as competency levels and instructional approach. Instructional materials from a wide spectrum of grade and age levels often provide the strategies and content that, with adaption or modification, could be suitable and usable for specialized education environments.
