The Teacher Curriculum Center (TCC) has a variety of resources that can be useful in the teaching of social studies at all grade levels. The following will help you to identify and locate the most appropriate materials for your needs. Both print and media resources are available and indexed by author, title, subject and series in the Library catalog.

Selected Subject Terms

The Library Catalog uses terms from the Library of Congress Subject Headings. The phrase Social Studies is not used by the Library of Congress, and so others must be used when searching through the Library Catalog by subject. Some examples of subject headings to use are:

When using the Library Catalog, use the "Quick Search" option and limit your search to just the TCC.

Use the Study and teaching subdivision after any subject to find curriculum guides and lesson plans in the Library Catalog. Examples:
