• American Factfinder provides access to data from the 2000 Census of Population and Housing, the 1990 Census of Population and Housing, the annual American Community Survey, current Population Estimates and more.
• Census Atlas of the United States, the first comprehensive atlas of population and housing produced by the Census Bureau since the 1920s.
• Census 2000 Rankings and Comparisons includes both population and housing tables.
• Census 2000 Special Equal Employment Opportunity Tabulation. Access to data on the number of people employed in nearly 500 occupations. Includes data breakdowns by gender, race, ethnicity, education, age, industry, earnings, plus where workers live, where they work and how many who work in one place live somewhere else.
• Population Profile of the United States: Dynamic Version
• Population Estimates includes annual estimates of the total population for cities and counties and estimates by demographic characteristics (age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin) for the nation, states and counties.
• Census 2000 Special Tabulation on Aging provides much more detail on the older population (over 60) than is available from other Census sources.
• AgingStats.gov. Statistics about the aged in the United States.

    • United States Historical Census Data Browser presents data describing the people and the economy of the United States for each state and county from 1790 to 1960.
    • Social Explorer offers thematic mapping and census data from 1940-2000 at various geographies including census tract level. Some material on this site is free; some requires you to subscribe.
    • Metro and City Info (Mumford Center & American Communities Project) uses census data to focus on racial and ethnic changes in cities and metropolitan areas between 1980 and 2000.
