About the Friends
The Friends of the CSUN Library was founded so that members of the community might become active participants in the Library at California State University, Northridge.
Since its beginnings in 1958, CSU Northridge has rapidly grown into one of the largest universities in California. The Library has grown in size and prestige along with the campus. In order to ensure the continued quality of the Library's collection, and to extend the cultural resources of the Library into the community, the Friends of the CSUN Library group has been established.
The Friends is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the resources of the University Library.
Membership
Joining the Friends of the Library at the level of General Member or above will entitle you to special Library privileges*.
More importantly, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your membership contribution is being used to buy books and other materials, to purchase needed equipment, to sponsor exhibits, and to provide cultural programming.
