How to Find Open Educational Resources: Overview

OER Guide Introduction

Open Educational Resources (OERs) are teaching and learning materials that are freely available for use, adaptation, and distribution. The purpose of this guide is to provide faculty with links to OER resources to supplement either in-person or online instruction. The guide provides general information about copyright, creative commons licensing, links to multi-disciplinary and subject specific OER repositories, along with information about faculty who are interested in creating their own content, and links to other online OER guides/lists.

ScholarWorks is CSUN's own open access institutional repository, providing access to works created by CSUN faculty, students, and staff. These works include faculty publications along with student theses and dissertations. The Oviatt encourages faculty and students to submit their work. For more information about check out this video on Open Access and CSUN's Scholarworks.
