Up until the fall 2011 semester, masters theses were searched in the Library Catalog by author, title, keyword, and the general subject, dissertations csun dept name, and available in hard bound volumes in the Oviatt Library. All CSUN Communication Studies theses in hardcopy are searched as dissertations csun communication studies, have the basic call number PN4086 .Z95, and are shelved on the 3rd floor of the Oviatt Library. You can also add more specific keywords to the above search, such as dissertations csun interpersonal.
Since the spring 2012 semester, you can find current masters theses in the CSUN ScholarWorks institutional repository, where you can browse by department or search by author, title, keyword, or subject as indicated above.
Theses and Dissertations by Students from other Unversities
The Dissertations and Theses (Proquest) database provides access to dissertations and theses from around the world from 1861 to the present day (note: does not include CSUN,) together with over 1.2 million full text dissertations that are available for download in PDF format. Over 2.1 million titles are available for purchase as printed copies. Keywords, as well as authors, titles, name of institution as well as limits by date, format (thesis or dissertation or both) are search options.
Dissertations and theses may also be requested through Interlibrary Loan if not available from Proquest or in the Library.
