You may search by instructor or course number to locate Course Reserves for a particular class.

Computers and Laptops

The Oviatt Library provides access to approximately 400 workstations in support of research and learning at California State University, Northridge. Most of the workstations are restricted to current CSUN student, faculty and staff. Visitor stations are clearly marked and may be used by the general public, however priority is given to students, faculty & staff, and those using U.S. and California Government Depository materials when there are no other work stations available.

Study Rooms and Lockers

The library offers study rooms and lockers for faculty, individual students, and group study.

Oviatt Library Services for Distance Education Students

The Oviatt Library provides services for students who are designated by the Roland Tseng College of Extended Learning as distance students or distance learners. To qualify for distance learner library services, students must be admitted to and enrolled in a Roland Tseng College of Extended Learning degree-granting program that is offered online or at a location other than the Northridge campus. These programs usually organize students into cohort groups.

Information for CSUN Parents

Students can access the Library's online resources remotely. That means they can find information from more than 100 databases containing magazine, newspaper and journal articles from any location. They can also access eBooks. All they need to know is their CSUN User ID and Password. (For more information on CSUN User ID and password, see the Campus IT Username and Password page.)
