To find industry information in Factiva, hover your mouse over the COMPANIES/MARKETS link at the top and then choose INDUSTRY. Select a category for an industry snapshot.

For industry information in Mergent Online, simply look up your company, then choose the REPORTS tab, then the INDUSTRY REPORTS tab.

Business Source Elite allows you to search for journals that cover your industry. The video below will show you how to find them:

Industry ratios 

Although you can find many industry ratios in LexisNexis Academic, the list isn’t complete. You will need to use these three publications in the Oviatt Library. Look through each of these publications until you see your industry ratio:

Industry Norms and Key Business Ratios:  Located on the table behind the reference desk. Call number #HF5681.R25 I525 (this is the easiest one to use, so I recommend using this one). Find your industry by SIC code.

RMA Statement Studies: Reference books in the reference room. Located on the table behind the reference desk. Call #HF5681.B2 R6. Find your industry by the NAICS code.

Almanac of business and industrial financial ratios: Located same as above books. Call number #HF5681.R25 A45.
