    Local elected officials by County, Cities, Towns, and Townships. You can search by zip code to find who represents you

    You can search by zip code to find who represents you statewide, in the California Legislature, and Judicial Branch
     
  • Current Officials
    Click on President and Executive Branch, U.S. Congress, or Federal Judicial Branch for federal officials. You can search by zip code to find who represents you. If you live in an area covered by multiple districts you can enter your nine-digit zip code to find your district
  • Contact Government
    USA.gov provides links to e-mail and postal addresses, and phone numbers for key elected officials.

    This site provides links to pdf. maps of federal Congressional Districts, State Senate Districts, State Assembly Districts, and Board of Equalization Districts.  The political district maps are designed to provide a clear picture of each district's boundaries and general location. You will need to know your district number (either State or Congressional) in order to retrieve the map of your district.
     
  • Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder
    This site allows you to enter your address to find federal Congressional, State Assembly and Senate, County, Supervisorial, Board of Equalization, City, and school district officials.

The following Web sites will help you locate information about the California state governor, constitutional officers, and legislature (state assembly and state senate). In order to locate information about a state assembly or state senate member you must first know the assembly or senate district where you live.

  • California State Assembly
    Helps you locate your state assembly district and provides a Member Directory with information about California State Assembly members.
     
  • California State Elected Officials,  League of Women Voters of California
    Unbiased, non-partisan information about state senate and state assembly members.  Provides contact information for Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Controller, Treasurer, Insurance Commissioner, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the Board of Equalization.  Provides links to locate your state senator and state assembly member. 
     
  • California State Senate
    Scroll down on the home page and click on the "Senators" link.  On the senators page click on the "Your Senator" link to find "Who's your Senator?"  This will assist you to find the State Senator for your district. This site also includes a map of senate districts and a roster of state senators.

  • Salaries of Elected Officials
    Current salaries of elected officials:  past salaries of elected officials, 2000 to 2009; past salaries of elected officials, 1990 to 1999; past salaries of elected officials before 1990.
     
  • Project Vote Smart
    Provides facts on candidates and elected officials, tracks the performance of Congress, follows the status of legislation, examines voting records and texts of bills. Project Vote Smart is now collecting speeches for the entire Federal Executive Branch, as well.
     
  • Statewide Database
    The Statewide Database (SWDB) is the redistricting database for the state of California. In 2001, these data were used for state legislative and local redistrictings following the 2000 Census as mandated by law. Data collection and processing for the redistricting are ongoing tasks conducted over a ten year period of time, starting with the collection of the census at the beginning of each decade. With each election between redistrictings, updated datasets are available as a free, public resource as soon they are processed. Currently the data are being prepared for the 2011 redistricting.
     
  • State and Local Government on the Net
    The State and Local government Internet directory provides convenient one-stop access to the websites of thousands of state agencies and city and county governments.  Search for State government offices.  View all the websites in a given state (includes state offices and local governments).  Search the websites of state government constitutional officers, state legislatures, state judiciaries and departments across all states.
