II. BOOKS BY SUBJECT

To find books by subject, title, or author use the computer catalog. To determine what subject term(s) to use, first check the Library of Congress Subject Headings (big red books on stands near the catalogs.) Cross references refer to related terms. The following codes indicate the kinds of relationship between terms: "USE"; means to use the specified subject term rather than the one you tried; "UF"; means "use for"; (ie. use the term in bold type instead of the term after UF); "BT", "NT", "RT"; are broader, narrower and related terms respectively; and terms after "--"; are subheadings to be used after the subject term in bold type at the head of the listing.

VIII. STANDARDS

The library has a few individual standards in electrical and electronics engineering. They are cataloged as books. Most must be ordered. There are catalogs for IEEE standards (ref TK 277 .I33) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) (ref Z 7914 .A22). For further information on standards and their availability please check my "Standards, Codes and Specifications in the CSUN Library" website at http://library.csun.edu/dhelfer/stand.html.

This bibliography maybe freely copied and adapted by anyone. In case of substantial use, attribution would be appreciated.
