Covers the earth science literature of the world. Consists of 12 monthly issues with annual cumulative subject and author indexes. A "Source List" appears in the front of each monthly issue and in the cumulative index. NOTE: This publication continues the volume numbering and has the same call as the Bibliography and Index of Geology Exclusive of North American. However, in subject coverage it supersedes both the Bibliography and Index of Geology,Exclusive of North America and theBibliography of North American Geology.

Consists of two main volumes, 1879-1961 and 1962-1970, and yearly and monthly supplements. Monthly supplements are called New Publications of the Geological Survey. Lists bulletins, professional papers, books, maps, charts, circulars, etc. published by the U.S.G.S. The two main volumes and yearly supplements have author and subject indexes; the monthly supplements do not. Call numbers for the larger U.S.G.S. sets are listed below:

Main volume contains a complete list of publications of the California Division of Mines to July 1961. There are supplements for the years 1966-69, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1984. Lists maps, periodicals, reports, bulletins, etc.

A bibliography, published irregularly, covering all types of literature on vertebrate paleontology. Primary arrangement is by author with subject and systematic indexes. A list of serials and abbreviations is found at the front of each volume.
Geocom Bulletin. London, Lea Associates. Library has: v. 1-14. 1968-1981. (QE1 .G57 - ASRS)
Ceased. Contains abstracts and information on mathematical, computer, and explorations geoscience. Published monthly; entries are in a classified subject arrangement with an author but no subject index. A key to the classification is found on the back cover of each issue. Note: Issued a few years after date of publication.
Mineralogical Abstracts. London, Mineralogical Society of Great Britain and the Mineralogical Society of America. Library has: v.16- 1964- (QE351 .M35 - Floor 3) Not currently received.
Abstracts periodicals and books world-wide covering mineralogy, geochemistry, and petrology. Published quarterly. Each issue is arranged by broad subject areas with an author index. There are annual cumulated author and subject indexes. No list of indexed periodicals. Abbreviations pertaining to publications are listed in front of each issue.

A 25-volume work with an 11-volume supplement, forming a combined author, title, and subject list of books and monographs in the U.S.G.S. Library.

Ceased. A monthly supplement to Bibliography of North American Geology providing an annotated bibliography arranged by author with a subject index. Although the material covered is the same as that in the Bibliography of North American Geology (see above), this reference tool has abstracts of the indexed literature.

Consists of an author bibliography with a subject index. A full citation for each entry is available only in the author section. A list of periodicals and their abbreviations is provided at the front of the author bibliography. As its title implies, the subject coverage of this work excludes North American geology. The geologic literature of the world is now covered in the Bibliography and Index of Geology (see page F-2) which continues the call number and volume numbering of the Bibliography and Index of Geology Exclusive of North America.

Abstracts articles in periodicals, books, and technical reports covering the "physics of the solid earth, the application of physical methods and techniques to geologic problems, and geophysical exploration." Coverage includes food science and nutrition. Also available via Biological Abstracts on the web at URL (http://library.csun.edu/Find_Resources/Databases/index.html#B). If you need information prior to 1998 choose FirstSearch2 and then choose the choose BasicBiosis. Abstracts periodicals, unclassified research reports, serials and books; gives exhaustive, worldwide coverage of the entire field of biology.
