Federal regulations guide administrative agencies in implementing and enforcing the laws of the United States. The primary source of federal regulations is the Code of Federal Regulations. New federal regulations and presidential proclamations first appear in the Federal Register, published daily. Check the library catalog for exact locations of these and other law resources. U.S. Regulations:

Code of Federal Regulations (through GPOAccess). "The (CFR) is the codification of the general and permanent rules published by the executive departments and agencies. It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Each volume is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis."
Federal Register (through GPOAccess). "The Federal Register is a legal newspaper published every business day by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). It contains Federal agency regulations; proposed rules and notices; and Executive orders, proclamations and other Presidential documents."

Inaugural Addresses of the American Presidents. "The text of Inaugural speeches and State of the Union speeches at this site are in the public domain and may be used however you like."
Official White House site. Up-to-the-minute and archival presidential and government news. Complete bios of the current president and vice president; nominations for public office; and United States government overview.
President of the United States. From Wikipedia. Contents include requirements to hold office; powers; succession; list of presidents of the United States; timeline; graphical timeline; presidential facts; presidential salary and perks; transition events; presidential trivia lists; excellent overview of all presidential elections; external links and much more.
Presidential Proclamations and Executive Orders. "The Office of the Federal Register presents this online version of the Codification of Presidential Proclamations and Executive Orders, April 13, 1945, through January 20, 1989. The Oviatt Library has the paper version of this publication."

U.S. Publications:

Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP) - Electronic counterpart to Monthly Catalog of United States Government Publications. "The Catalog of U.S. Government Publications provides an index to print and electronic publications created by Federal agencies."

CALIFORNIA REGULATIONS AND ADMINISTRATIVE AGENICIES

California Code of Regulations -- All 28 Titles of the CCR. Title 24 (California Building Standards) is a separate publication which is not included as part of CCR. From the Office of Administrative Law (OAL).

California Regulatory Notice Register Online -- "The California Regulatory Notice Register contains notices of proposed regulatory actions by state regulatory agencies to adopt, amend or repeal regulations contained in the California Code of Regulations." Published weekly and organized by Title of the California Code of Regulations.
