Dreamweaver only permits you to create and upload HTML web pages. All other items, such as images, PDF documents, and Word Documents, need to be copied or uploaded into the local area of your site (the H:\WebSite folder) using Windows Explorer. Once they're there, Dreamweaver will find them and you can use Dreamweaver to upload them to the web server.
It is best to create folders within your personal folder to contain each type of asset -- an images folder a wordocs folder, a pdfs folder. This way you have a central place to look for each item, and can avoid having to wrangle with multiple copies of items stored in different parts of your site.
Dreamweaver's code library lets you insert frequently-used snippets of code (such as the validation and accessiblity stickers) into web documents with one click.
