A Dreamweaver template is a proprietary page (with a .dwt file extension) that provides the foundation for other pages. When you create a page from a template, Dreamweaver opens a copy of the original, which contains both editable and uneditable regions. If a change is made in the uneditable region of the original template, the change can be propagated to all pages based on that template.
In the library we are creating pages in the shared Dreamweaver site H:\Website so that everyone will be using the same template to create their pages. You can see the templates listed in the Templates folder in the Local View of the site panel.
