Working with Web Standards

Following CSU Executive Order 926 effective Jan. 1, 2005 (http://www.calstate.edu/EO/EO-926.html ), library policy was established to ensure that all library web pages are "accessible and validate" (see the intranet document, "Keeping our Library Web Resources Valid and Accessible" under Electronic Library).

This set of pages has been created to assist library faculty and staff in creating web pages that satisfy CSU criteria for accessibility. Those criteria include the employment of current technical and accessibility standards as determined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
