CSU’s Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) initiative enables campuses to provide more affordable educational content for students. The AL$ Initiative at CSUN is committed to educating faculty on open educational resources, assisting faculty with finding quality low or no cost content, and supporting faculty as they redesign their courses.
How can you get involved?
*Discover Open Education event March 27th, 9:30-4:00pm. Come join us for a discussion on textbook affordability, open educational resources and stick around for an afternoon workshop on finding affordable resource for your course! This event also includes a student panel discussion on issues CSUN students face with affordable learning. Stay for the whole day or just check out the morning or afternoon session, RSVP online.
CSUN AL$ Team Members and Faculty mentors are available to help you find, create, and incorporate low and no-cost materials into your courses and Moodle site. Contact any member of the AL$ team directly or fill out this Google Form and a member of AL$ will contact you.
Have you already experimented with redesigning your course around an open text or have you created your own e-text? Become an AL$ mentor and provide support for faculty, you will be rewarded with a small stipend.
