LibX: How to get LibX

LibX is a browser plugin available for Chrome or Firefox that brings library resources to everything you do online. LibX allows you to look up ISBNs or Titles in the catalog, find full text links for articles, and proxy links while off campus.

To install LibX on your browser of choice (though only one browser at a time), simply visit http://libx.org/. Use the blue box to search for an edition. When you find CSUN's edition (you may have to search for Northridge), load it, and then use the link to install it.

Once you've installed it, LibX should show up with your other Plugins or extensions. Open it up and select the Northridge edition if prompted. At this point, you can select personal settings for LibX. These include browser settings (such as whether LibX will open a new tab or window), and Context Menu settings (which determine what search options are included when you right click on a title or identifier).
