One of Argentina's foremost musical ambassadors, composer-guitarist José Luis Merlin has toured the globe over twenty times and has produced a dozen recordings. He is widely acknowledged as an expert in Argentinian and South American music. The Keiler Nachriten (Germany) asserted that "An artist like José Luis Merlin needs no certificates of his mastery over the strings of his guitar, since the composer does more than dominate the instrument. It is a kind of symbiosis." |
Guitarist extraordinaire Eric Franceries makes his much anticipated and welcome return to the AGS series. A veteran of numerous world tours, he has also worked with such notables as Jean-Pierre Rampal and Claude Bolling. Le Pay Roannais (France) was unequivocal in its praise when it declared that "Anglo Saxons, in the field of the rock'n'roll and the blues, qualify their virtuoso guitarists as 'Guitar Heroes'. Eric Franceries, in the field of classical music, amply deserves this title." |
