Bond, Carrie Jacobs

(1862-1946 )

 

American composer of sentimental songs, she was born in Janesville, Wisconsin, August 11, 1862 and died in Glendale, California, December 28, 1946. She was the wife of the industrious W. L. Hayden and is apparently identical with Carrie V. Stearns [and possibly related to Walter Jacobs -- some research is needed here, see her autobiography, "The Roads of Melody" . Many of her songs became best sellers, for example,
