The Cadenza

Welcome to the web page for The Cadenza, a monthly periodical published from September of 1894 to February of 1924 devoted to articles and news of interest for musicians and enthusiasts of music composed and played on string instruments. In its first few years of publication The Cadenza mainly focused on items of interest for banjo, mandolin and guitar. As the magazine developed, it added zither, violin, harp and eventually voice to its list of subject matter.
