TEACHER CURRICULUM CENTER

The Teacher Curriculum Center (TCC) is the curriculum materials library for California State University, Northridge and as such serves as a resource for instructional materials to CSUN students and faculty, as well as to educators within the community. As a curriculum library within the University Library at CSUN, the TCC specializes in those materials which would actually be used within an elementary or secondary school classroom.

The materials in the TCC collection include textbooks (with teacher materials), curriculum guides, phonorecords, audiocassettes, games, filmstrips, picture sets, sound filmstrips, kits, microcomputer software, videocassettes/discs, CD-ROMs and other instr uctional materials. All non-reserve materials circulate for a period of two weeks and can be renewed.

In addition, the TCC has a workroom area which contains equipment which can be used in the creation of instructional materials. These equipment, including a letter cutter, ditto machines, and paper cutters, may be used free of charge whenever the TCC is open.

The TCC also has a preview area with appropriate equipment (sound filmstrip viewers, record and cassette players, microcomputers, and VCR) for the pre-view of any TCC nonbook materials.

Anyone is free to use the materials and equipment in the TCC. A valid CSU library card is required if you wish to borrow materials. Non-CSU library card holders may obtain borrowing privileges by purchasing a Depositor Card for an annual fee payable at the TCC. The Depositor Card is valid from July 1 through June 30 of each year and is renewable.
