Current Duties and Responsibilities

As the Interim Associate Dean at the Oviatt Library, I assist the Dean in carrying out the mission of the Library, and work as part of the Library administrative team to plan Library services, carry-out strategic planning and decision-making, facilitate operations, and resolve issues. I provide leadership for Library programming and assist the Dean with fundraising. I work closely with instructional faculty, Library faculty, campus administrators and staff to ensure that the needs of the students are met. I supervise Library Assessment activities. I am responsible for CSU, state, and national statistics reports. I manage Campus Quality Fee funded projects and other special initiatives. I represent the Library in select campus and CSU committees. I coordinate the Research Fellows program in the Library. I collaborate with the University of North Texas Greater Los Angeles Cohort Master of Library and Information Science program to host cohort courses and activities at the Oviatt Library. I oversee space redesign planning, as well as emergency and security planning.  I provide leadership for new services, and policy and procedural changes for existing services.

As Interim Associate Dean at the Oviatt Library, I am primarily responsible for Access Services which includes the following services areas and their day to day operations:
