The goals of the library sessions are:
- Learn about How to do Library and Internet research: determine information need, choose best resources, develop a search strategy, understand keyword and subject searching, how to use boolean operators and truncation symbols, how to cite sources, and more.
- Learn how to use the Library Catalog to find books and journals on your topic. Learn about the

- Learn about Kinesiology Multisearch - http://library.csun.edu/xerxes/multisearch/Kinesiology
- Learn more about openly available PubMed but especially CSUN's link which offers Find Text [http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?otool=cacsunlib] and Physical Education Index(CSA).
- Learn about Medline(ISI) -CSUN's subscription MEDLINE database which offers easier record transfer to Endnote Web, a bibliographic management software program offered to currently registered students.
- Learn how to get articles and books Oviatt Library does NOT own. Register for CSUN's Interlibrary Loan
- Kinesiology: A CSUN Oviatt Library Research Guide describes subject headings, databases, how to find kinesiology journals and internet web sites.
