Library Research Tips for Nursing research at CSUN

- Learn How to do Library and Internet research: determine information need, choose best resources, develop a search strategy, understand keyword and subject searching, how to use boolean operators and truncation symbols, how to cite sources, and more.
- Learn to use the the thesaurus, subject headings in CINAHL, Medline and PubMed, PsycInfo and ERIC databases to find additional search terms for your topic
- Learn how to use Health Sciences:Multisearch to search up to ten (10) databases simultaneously and to save records from different databases in your Multisearch folder .
- Learn how to use the Library Catalog and the CSUN List of Electronic Journals to find books and journals on your topic.
- Register for CSUN's Interlibrary Loan
- Nursing literature: an Oviatt Library Research guide describes subject headings, databases, how to find nursing journals and internet web sites.
