Selected Social Studies Subject Terms
The Oviatt Library online catalog uses terms from the Library of Congress Subject Headings. The phrase Social
Studies is not used by the Library of Congress, and so others must be used when searching
through the online computer catalog by subject. Some examples of subject headings to use are:

Use the Study and teaching subdivision after any subject to find curriculum guides and lesson plans in the Library Catalog. Examples:
