is a local affiliate of ALA's Association for Library Collections and Technical Services. Organized over 30 years ago, SCTPG provides continuing education and networking opportunities to keep technical services library staff abreast with the latest issues and developments in the profession. Our programs generally focus on, (but are not limited to) technical services operations. We often include actual demonstrations of products, activities and services, as well as tours of unique facilities. For example in recent years, we have had programs that focused on social, educational, and technical aspects of the Internet and the World Wide Web, as well as tours of the GTE educational facility, the Gene Autry Museum, and the new Getty Center.
