San Fernando Valley Award for Fiction

The Friends of the CSUN Library at California State University, Northridge, give a biennial award of $1,000 to a writer who has published a significant work of fiction dealing directly with the region of the San Fernando Valley. Submissions are not currently being accepted.

The purpose of the award is to recognize important contributions to fiction about (or including significant reference to) the San Fernando Valley, and to promote awareness of the region. Judges for this award include select members of the Friends of the CSUN Library Board, members of the faculty at California State University, Northridge, and members of the University Library faculty or staff. The winning author is honored at an awards reception at CSUN to share and discuss their work.
