California educators… are you looking for high-quality school-library online resources? You Have Access! Discover the CA K–12 Online Resources Program and the resources available to you. Learn how to utilize resources from Gale (science resources like National Geographic Kids, Environmental Studies), ProQuest (CultureGrams, PBS videos, and multiple research resources that span grades 4-12), Britannica (multiple levels, and a Spanish-language online encyclopedia too!) and TeachingBooks (resources like author interviews and readers’ theater to instill a love of reading). These are available to California educators to build diverse lessons and support student inquiry. The resources are provided via state contract to every local library, every public K-12 school, and accessible by CSUN educators-in-training. Featuring special guest speaker Mary Beth Barber.

Mary Beth Barber, a longtime state administrator with a nonprofit-volunteer habit, works for the California State Library managing the program that brings online school-library resources (e.g. Britannica, TeachingBooks, PBS videos) to every K-12 student. During the pandemic, Mary Beth explored making Thai food at home, explored pressure-cooker meals and recipes, and continued a 10-year obsession with middle-reader and YA literature.
