Celebrate LGBT Pride Month with the Oviatt Library during the month of June! “The Library’s month-long celebration demonstrates how Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Americans have strengthened our country, by using their talent and creativity to help create awareness and goodwill” (Library of Congress). There are several ways Matadors can participate. We invite you to explore the books on display in the Library Learning Commons that feature influential works associated with the LGBT experience. Come in and check out one or two of these books any time this month. We also offer an online resource guide with book reading suggestions, local LGBT event programming information, and suggested websites for further information surrounding LGBT Pride Month programming.
