Celebrate Black History Month

books on display for Black History MonthHi Matadors! February is Black History Month and we invite you to visit our Black History Month book display in the Library’s Learning Commons. The display features works by many accomplished writers, leaders, and scholars. Books featured include memoirs, personal writings, fiction, nonfiction, and short stories that document and highlight numerous contributions of the Black experience. Feel free to check out any of the books within the display at the Guest Services desk in the lobby.

For further displays and online exhibitions that celebrate Black History, visit the Rosa Parks: In Her Own Words Library of Congress exhibition, the African American History Exhibits and Collections of the U.S. National Archives and Records, and the Smithsonian’s online collections on Black History.
