Vocal Artillery Oviatt Library performance 2016

Matadors! The Vocal ARTillery will be performing in the Oviatt Library Learning Commons on Wednesday, February 7 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. You won’t want to miss out on the Hip Hop and Spoken Word performances. This will be an open mic opportunity for all in the CSUN community.

The Vocal ARTillery was born at California State University Northridge out of a need for space by students of color. It evolved into a Hip Hop/Spoken Word, open mic performance group. Vocal ARTillery looks to generate Hip Hop and Spoken Word in the San Fernando Valley. Its goal is to bring community using an open mic show and inviting local and underground artists of all walks. By connecting local artists with local venues Vocal ARTillery strives to bring much more than a Hip Hop scene to the Valley, but it also strives to bring a different state of mind. For more information about Vocal ARTillery visit its Facebook page.

The Vocal ARTillery performance is part of the Oviatt Library’s Black History Month events. Please see our Black History Month programming page for more information.
