Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month traces its roots to 1915 and the activism of Dr. Arthur C. Parker, a Seneca Indian, who was the director of the Museum of Arts and Science in Rochester, New York.  Today, we invite you to read books and view films that explore both the history and the contemporary experience of people of the First Nations.

The Library recognizes that the Sesevitam are still here and it is committed to lifting up their stories, culture, and community.
