If you are a CSUN student who visits the Library on weekends for the quiet atmosphere, then this message is your friendly notice that you can expect to encounter much more activity in and around the Library building for the next two weekends, especially 10/19 and 10/26.
On Saturday 10/19, CSUN’s Office of Student Development & Transitional Programs will be hosting Parent Day, a day of programs and campus tours for the parents of Matadors. For more information, visit the Parent & Family Programs webpage. Our campus and the Library are happy to welcome Matador Parents for the day!
The following week, on Saturday 10/26, the campus will host an even larger event — Open House! CSUN’s Open House is an annual free event in the fall for anyone to come visit campus and learn about CSUN. The campus is expecting to host over 1,000 prospective students and their families! Registration is open and more information can be found at the CSUN Open House webpage.
If you are an Open House guest – Welcome! The Library will be open for all visitors, so come in and check out our iconic building and vast range of resources and services. The Library is also the location for CSU Apply drop-in support session (see Lab C, on the first floor, west wing). Please feel free to visit the Library during your Open House visit — we will be opening our doors early for the occasion, at 8am; however, please note that our service areas will be holding regular Saturday hours. So, if you want to see even more of what the Library has to offer throughout our many beautiful floors and wings, the best time to visit will be after 12pm!
Whether you’re a Saturday Library regular or a visitor, the CSUN University Library welcomes all campus guests. We look forward to a day of fun, activity, and campus-wide Matador Pride during Open House!
