Mission
The CSUN University Library provides collections, technology, services, information literacy instruction, spaces, and programming, guided by the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice, and accessibility, in support of student success, research, scholarship, and innovation.
Vision
The University Library is the intellectual heart of the CSUN campus due to its significant physical and virtual collections; welcoming and dynamic study and innovation spaces; engaging technology; transformative information literacy instruction; user-centered services; and thought-provoking and culturally relevant programming. Library faculty, staff, administrators, and student assistants reflect the diversity of CSUN students. Library employees proactively support CSUN’s commitment to high-quality teaching, student learning, scholarship, and creative activities that are interdisciplinary and innovative, firmly grounded in our shared values, and guided by our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice, and accessibility.
