The Information Ecosystem (LIB296A)
What do Google, TikTok, and library databases all have in common? Information.
It is not news that we are living in an age of information (and misinformation). But how does information work, exactly?
Enroll in The Information Ecosystem (LIB296A) this Fall 2024 semester. In this one-credit hybrid course, students and librarians will work to gain a greater understanding of our roles and responsibilities in creating and consuming information, in navigating the changing dynamics of the world of information, and in the ethical use of information. Course assignments and activities will help you foster enhanced engagement with the core ideas about information and the variation in disciplinary scholarship.
