Newsletter Edition: Fall 2026
Contributed by Gina Flores
The University Library’s Spring 2026 student employee scholarship recipients represent an exceptionally diverse group of Library student employees, spanning disciplines from the arts and humanities to STEM, environmental science, business, film, and health professions. Many are first-generation or international students, CSUN Dean's List scholars, student leaders, researchers, club officers, presenters at academic conferences, and/or participants in prestigious internships and clinical programs.
United by selfless service, resilience, academic excellence, and remarkable work ethic, these University Library student employees exemplify how dedication, leadership, and learning can transform both individual futures and the communities they serve.
The University Library has served as more than a workplace for these students. It has been:
- A professional training ground
- A place to develop leadership skills
- A setting for mentorship and career exploration
- An environment that supports peers and fosters friendships
Many students' library roles directly reinforce their career aspirations, from archival work and research to technology, media production, customer service, and academic scholarship.
The University Library is profoundly grateful for the generosity of our scholarship donors, whose belief in our mission empowers students to pursue academic excellence with greater confidence and less financial burden.
Congratulations to the University Library’s scholarship recipients of 2026!
