Endangered Languages: Global and Local Perspectives
Jan 31, 2012
University Library: Jack & Florence Ferman Presentation Room
What if you were the last speaker of your language? What if you were made to feel inferior for speaking the language of your home and your childhood? Just imagine if millenia of unique history, memory culture and thought ended with you…
The CSUN Linguistics Club invites you to join us for an evening with Dr. K. David Harrison and Dr. Gregory Anderson from the Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages and the documentary, The Linguists. They will be speaking about their efforts to document and revitalize endangered languages around the globe.
Event organized by the CSUN Linguistics Club, and funded by the the Office of Graduate Studies’ Distinguished and Visiting Speakers Program, and by the Associated Students.
