First Amendment Symposium: Free Speech in the Square

We invite you to participate in a symposium on campus which will celebrate the theme of Campus Free Speech & Inclusivity.
During the symposium, students, staff and faculty are invited to openly discuss, listen and engage with diverse viewpoints on campus free speech and to advocate for voices that historically have been silenced.
Free Speech in the Square
Join us for a free speech open mic and participate in your first amendment rights at Matador Square, located East of the University Library.
Matador square is located by Magnolia Hall and Citrus Hall featuring a concrete space surrounded by grass and trees. See CSUN Campus Map for location.
The in-person events require social distancing and proof of vaccination or a negative test for COVID-19 within the last 72 hours.

First Amendment Virtual Book Display
We invite you to explore this virtual book display that celebrates the First Amendment. Included are digital books by accomplished writers and scholars that highlight and showcase the historical journey of the First Amendment and its impact on U.S. culture. All of the books within the display are electronically available through the University Library and require logging-in with a CSUN user ID and password.
This event series is sponsored by CSUN Journalism and the University Library.
