GIS is a scientific framework for gathering, analyzing, and visualizing geographic data to help us make better decisions.
What is GIS Day?
On GIS Day, help others learn about geography and the real-world applications of GIS that are making a difference in our society. It's a chance for you to share your accomplishments and inspire others to discover and use GIS.
Celebrate your work | Show off the benefits of GIS | Tell meaningful stories | Enlighten and nurture your community
What's happening at CSUN?
We are seeking students who want to share their work with GIS as part of our lightning talks, to be held at the University Library on November 16th.
Lightning talks: 3 to 5 minutes to talk about project, do a product demonstration, show off an interesting use of GIS!
Why get involved?
As a student, here's a chance to build your resume by being a GIS Day speaker, in a fun atmosphere of exploration and knowledge-sharing.
