In Celebration of Media Literacy Week!
Come one, come all. Hear the latest information from an expert in algorithmic media literacy, Dr. Scott Moss (CSULB). Engage in activities designed to explore the boundaries of media literacy in the age of AI.
Professor Elizabeth Blakey of the CSUN Department of Journalism will provide introductory remarks "Media Literacy in a Globalized World."
The guest speaker, Scott Moss, Ph.D. will offer a talk titled "What is Algorithmic Literacy?"

Professor Elizabeth Blakey
Elizabeth Blakey is a cultural sociologist, California lawyer, and professor in the CSUN Department of Journalism. Blakey's research focuses on freedom of expression and digital media. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Loyola Law School Los Angeles.
Dr. Scott Moss
Dr. Scott Moss is program director for the graduate program in educational technology at National University in Los Angeles. Dr. Moss authored and teaches the “AI and Algorithms in Media” course at CSULB. He holds a M.A. in Educational Technology from SDSU and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from UCLA.
