The Soloist and the Art of the Cello
Sep 28, 2009 9:00am to Oct 2, 2009 4:00pm
LEGACY: Music & Media
Supporting CSUN’s Common Reading Program, this exhibit illustrates passages from Steve Lopez’s account of passion and courage in The Soloist, plus highlights contemporary master cellists and explores the anatomy of the cello.
In addition, the Oviatt Library hosted a series of solo concerts in Music & Media:
Inspired by Steve Lopez's account of passion and courage in The Soloist, invited guest artists and talented CSUN cellists will perform daily at Music & Media (Oviatt Library, 2nd Floor, East Wing). Accompanying the concerts is an exhibit featuring renowned cellists and highlights from The Soloist. In addition, video screening of musical performances from The Soloist's playlist by various artists will also be presented throughout the week.
