Membership Information and Application

Joining the Friends of the Library at the level of General Member or above will entitle you to special Library privileges. Please see our Guest Access page for complete information on privileges and restrictions.

More importantly, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your membership contribution is being used to buy books and other materials, to purchase needed equipment, to sponsor exhibits, and to provide cultural programming.

You can join by paying a membership fee through CSUN Giving Portal. Start by going to the Friends of the Library Giving form, then enter the following:

1. Amount: Enter the amount corresponding to the membership level you wish to purchase (for example, for a Contributor Member you'd enter 120).
2. Skip to CSUN Affiliation and select whichever applies to you (this is unrelated to your Friends membership level).
3. Skip to Other Special Instructions and type "FOL Membership"
4. Click Continue.
5. On the next page, provide your contact information and click Check Out.
6. Provide your payment information to complete the transaction.

Once your donation is processed, Donor Relations will email you a Thank You receipt.  Forward the Thank You receipt to friends.library@csun.edu.  Your membership application will be processed in 2 to 4 business days once received.  

Alternatively, you may send a letter with your membership level, name, address, phone number, and an email, with a check made out to the CSUN Foundation to the following address:
