Description
Fritz Lang Papers - These papers cover Fritz Lang’s personal and professional life from 1933 to 1953. While not all items in the collection may be of interest to film scholars (e.g. household accounts or bank statements), correspondence with other writers, directors, producers and actors will help to place Lang within the Hollywood community. The earlier items may be of interest to those who study the flight of artists from the Third Reich. Lang kept many of the correspondence and the transportation records which were instrumental in his escape and that of other Europeans.
