Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide reference services, research assistance, and information literacy instruction for Special Collections & Archives
- I can help with any area of Special Collections & Archives, but am particularly knowledgeable about our holdings related to Los Angeles regional history, foreigners in China during the first half of the 20th century, and general American and European history.
- Participate in selection and acquisition of unique and primary materials, cultivate donors, and develop grant proposals to obtain funding for collaborative projects
- Develop and implement Special Collections & Archives projects, especially for outreach and improving access to collections
- Promote, publicize, and expand awareness of collections, maintain productive relationships across campus, and create and nurture ties with the community
- Manage archival processing documentation and workflows
- Lead Special Collections & Archives exhibit curation
