Activities and resources at the CSUN University Library
Don’t let Finals stress get you down. Whether you need a good place to study, help with research, or even a little break, CSUN University Library is here for you. From November 24th through Finals Week, the Library will host a variety of activities to support your studies and your well-being.
Extended Hours
The Library will be open for longer hours starting December 8th to December 19th.
- The Library will be open from 7:00am to 3:00am, except for December 19th when we are open 7:00am to 10:00pm
You can always find the most up-to-date building hours on the Library website. If you need research help, you can talk to a Librarian online 24/7!
Stress-Less Activities at the Library
Build Your Own Finals Survival Kit (Main floor lobby)
Go into finals week feeling prepared by creating your own Finals Survival kit: stickers, snacks, highlighters, and more!. Starting December 8th. (Supplies will vary and can run out.)
Take a Study Break at the "Stress-Less Station" Tables in the Library Lobby.
Take a moment for mindfulness with a rotation of enjoyable activities in the Library Lobby: Stress-Less Coloring, Mindful Origami, and Puzzles.
Press Your Stress! Button-Making
Need a creative break from finals? Come press your stress away with us! Design and draw your own custom pin-back button OR grab a ready-made finals-themed button to show off your survival skills

Stop by the ASRS Viewing Room, Main Floor, East Wing and catch some of our fun, cute, and relaxing videos.

- Ask questions and get research help at the Reference Desk – Main Floor, Learning Commons.
- For more research assistance from the Library, check out our online tutorials and subject guides or get in touch with a subject specialist, or talk to a Librarian online 24/7.
- Get writing support at the Learning Resource Center – 3rd Floor, East Wing
- Individual and group study rooms can be reserved on LibCal
- protip: Try to book a day or two ahead! Same-day reservations are okay but study rooms can fill up fast.
- Check out chargers, laptops, graphing calculators, and other devices from the Library Technology Services (LTS) desk – Main Floor, Learning Commons.
- Use editing software and get multimedia support at the Creative Maker Studio – Main Floor, West Wing
