San Fernando Valley Award for Nonfiction Reception

California State University, Northridge - Friends of the Oviatt Library - San Fernando Valley Award for NonfictionCalifornia State University, Northridge and Friends of the Oviatt Library cordially invite you to the second biennial San Fernando Valley Award for Nonfiction Reception to honor Erin K. Schonauer and ‎Jamie C. Schonauer, authors of Early Burbank.

"Historical research is an important way to open up the past to current and future generations,” says Oviatt Library Dean Mark Stover. “With their book, Erin and Jaime Schonauer have created a vivid journey into Burbank’s intriguing past through striking, unique photographs and graceful prose."

Persons with disabilities needing assistance and deaf and hard of hearing persons needing interpreters, please call (818) 677-2638 in advance for arrangements.

Map Directions to the SFV Nonfiction Award Reception

Please stop by either info booth #1 or info booth #3 and ask for a guest parking permit and inform the booth attendant that you are with the SFV Award for Nonfiction Reception to receive a permit. This permit is valid in the G1 parking lot for parking spaces labeled OGB/University club which are numbers 1-31 ONLY. DO NOT park in spaces labeled for Monterey Hall. Those number begin at 32 and are also marked.

However, once the numbered spaces are full you can park in the G3 structure and G3 lot in any spaces not labeled employee (you must display your permit). The permits must be displayed on the dashboard so that they are visible through the front windshield. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN EMPLOYEE SPACES, FOR ANY LOT, YOU WILL BE CITED.
